What does "Featured" tab display?

Featured tab displays the best surf spot around you at a particular time. When you open Featured tab SurfMate analyses the weather condition of the closest spots around you and shows you the best one according to swell height, swell period, tide and other criteria.


How can I add a spot to my Favorites list?

Too easy! You can either go into AroundMe / Search screens and swipe right the spot row you want to bookmark;



Or, from the spot forecast view you can tap the top right menu button and then select "Add to Favorites".





Can I re-order my Favorite list?

Yes you can! Touch and hold the spot you want to move and et voilĂ !! Easy eh?


How to remove a spot from my Favorites list.

You can easily remove a spot from the Favorites tab swiping left the selected row.





I'd like to suggest you a missing surf spot. How do I do that? 

We work very hard to update SurfMate with new spots every day and with your help we can add new places and make it better and better.
To report a new surf spot, go into the main menu on the top left and select "Add a Surf Spot".
SurfMate will open up an email composer where you can type a few info, such as the name of the spot and location so we can easily find it on the map.






How often does SurfMate refresh its database?

We don't have a predefined timeframe to release new updates, we are keen to release new database update as soon as possible when we have new spots to add. You are more then welcome to report us new spots.


Can I change the landing view of SurfMate?

Of course. Just tap on the main menu icon on the top left and select Settings. From Settings you can change the landing page and select one of the four tabs Favorites, AroundMe, Search, Featured.



Can I change the AroundMe radius?

Yes you can. Just tap on the main menu icon on the top left and select Settings. From there you can change the AroundMe radius selecting one of the following options: 5km, 10km, 20km, 30km, 50km, 100km



How do I change the unit of measurement?

It's easy. Go into the main menu and select Settings. Then swap from "ft, °F" to "m, °C" and viceversa.
